Welcome to South Africa's online Monologue festival designed to discover, showcase, and develop emerging and professional acting talent.
ABOUT SEEN MFEST
SEEN: The Monologue Festival is an online Monologue festival created to discover, celebrate, and develop acting talent from across South Africa, open only to Gauteng, Johannesburg & Pretoria. The festival begins with a simple challenge: record a monologue, post it online, and be seen. Participants enter by uploading a self-taped monologue to social media and tagging the festival, turning every submission into part of a nationwide showcase of performance and storytelling.
Selected entries are reviewed by a panel of judges, who will choose the Top 15 performers to take part in a professionally filmed studio showcase. These performances will be released across SEEN's digital platforms, including YouTube and social media, providing actors with professional exposure to audiences, casting professionals, and industry stakeholders. Following the showcase period, three outstanding performers will be selected as festival winners, receiving performance mentorship, professional development opportunities, and a professionally produced cinematic monologue to help elevate their careers serving as a showreel.
SEEN exists to create opportunities for actors and provide a pathway from self-tape to spotlight.
